Just a quickie from me to update on my day 1 progress in Bout of Books 11!
Updates:
1pm – I had to do some admin-y things for the writing journal I’m part of plus finish cataloguing my books plus proof-read some things… which means my words read count is currently at 0. Oh dear, must fix that.
3pm – two hours later and i’ve managed to procrastinate procrastinating… by making an update video
8pm – up to page 49, this has been a dismal effort so far, must correct this tomorrow!
Overall – quite disappointed with today’s progress, truth be told, but the house was very very distracting (in the form of one 18 month year old nephew) so hopefully this won’t be a sign of times to come.
Challenges:
Scavenger Hunt @ TheBookMonsters
1. A Book that begins with “B” (for Bout of Books!)
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley – the cover is really quite creepy
2. A book that has been made into a movie/tv show
High-Rise by JG Ballard – a slight cheat since it’s currently still filming but I’m really excited and that level of excitement has nothing at all to do with a certain Tom Hiddleston playing Laing, nope no sir haha
3. A series you love
Harry Potter by JK Rowling – have a picture of OotP which I’m reading currently
4. An anthology of poems or short stories
Poems for Life collected by Laura Barber – gorgeous collection with a gorgeous cover
5. A book on your TBR shelf, or your full TBR shelves
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy – hopefully I will get through this at some point

No worries for day one, we still have 6 days to go! You have plenty of time to make up progress. :)

And thank goodness for that! :p
I’m on train journeys on Friday and Sunday so that’s quite a few hours there where I will make up for any lost time during the week, I’m sure.
Thanks for the encouragement. :]

You are welcome. :)
Normally I always set myself up for failure when it comes to goals, but this time I wanted to be a little easier on myself haha. But anyways, happy reading!

Yes, often setting goals is setting up failure haha. It’s my 1st read-a-thon so I’ve definitely went quite easy on myself in terms of how many things I’m hoping to read so fingers crossed.
Thank you, you too! :]
